A similar thought crossed my mind while I was a teenager. Patrols were allways looking for teenagers driving with an open liquor bottle ...

    Great day

Dave's talk about Iain early years was interesting.

Sorry I didn't catch up with you, we slipped out to the pub in the 1st break (there was no Union Bar that we could find so went off campus, then they doors were locked when we got back), I hung about in the 2nd break, but couldn't see you about, then we had to rush off at the end for a train.

Michelle Hodgson gave some interesting insights into book launches & tours.

Gary Lloyd gave an emotional talk about Iain & music, the Tribute to Frozen Gold sounds very interesting.

I didn't find the Poetry but with Ken MacLeod quite so interesting.

& the final pannel discussion with Ken, John Jarrold & David Barnetto was decent, though I found it a little hard to hear some of the comments (could have done with mics I think). What were those 2 author John Jarrold mentioned? One was Ken Grimwood, the other had written a series that he wished had been longer...

During the second break we went off to get a photograph of all the speakers taken.
I have notes from the final panel, but am not in the same country as them at the moment.

I've ordered Replay by Grimwood (looks like a longer cycle Groundhog Day)

I think Ken mentioned Kim Stanley Robinson's Wild Shore and Gold Coast but I'm not 100% positive

    Anyway good day

    Did anyone video this thing?

Antipodeans like myself, and others that couldn't make it would appreciate to experience it somehow I'm sure..
