Default Iain M. Banks events in Oct / Nov 2010

I've just updated the site with a batch of Surface Detail events that our publicity department have confirmed for this Autumn: see the appearances page of the site for details.

(I'll be adding the Stirling and Edinburgh International Book Festival events as well in the next batch of site updates...)

We are pleased to be welcoming Ian M Banks to the De La Warr Pavilion, a Modernist icon on the seafront in Bexhill on Sea on Thursday 21st October. Tickets have just gone on sale at www.dlwp.com and this will be a talk followed by a book signing of Surface Detail.

Tickets for the Cheltenham Literary Festival go on general sale at 09:00 on Monday 16th August. The two things that Iain is doing are:

Iain Banks Talk at 18:30 on Saturday 16th October. Tickets £8

There is usually a book selling tent where authors have signings after the talks so look out for this as well.

British Science Fiction Panel with Iain M Banks, Gwyneth Jones, Michael Moorcock and China Miéville at 16:00 on Sunday 17th October. Tickets £6

There are a few other science fiction events over the rest of the festival as well - helpfully listed at http://vectoreditors.wordpress.com/2...rary-festival/

Tickets are £3, available from the shop and redeemable against purchase of the book on the night.

For those of you further north there is now an event in Edinburgh.

Manchester = The Midlands, not the North, no matter what they think.
