Default Poll: Your favourite Iain Banks book to date

As a bit of an ice-breaker, your friendly, neighbourhood moderator edash suggested that we could post a quick poll to find out which of Iain's non-sf novels to-date was the forum members' favourite (you can vote for your favourite Iain M Banks sf novel here)

Let the voting (and discussion) commence!

Gotta be The Bridge (it's the most "M" of the non"M" books)

    'The Bridge' for me too.

It's not just the best Banks book- but I think it's one of the best books ever.

The Bridge very probably the "best" for many reasons and will likely win. However poll asks for "Favourite" and I say Espedair Street for many reasons

'Walking on glass' followed by 'song of stone'.

I read Alisdair Grays Lanark before i had read The Bridge and the two are pretty similar. For me Banks wins as his is nowhere near as depressing as Grays.

Very hard to vote on this one. My first reaction was The Bridge, but I love Espedair Street. Not sure I can choose between them. So if they're joint first, Walking on Glass is a close second.

Complicity for me, but then I've only read five of them so far.

Jag - Song of Stone is by a long way the my least favourite
