I see, I have no idea how this appearances thing works.
But in hindsight it would hardly be worth his while, small English book reading community here.

Yup- writers etc are invited along to these sort of things- and I'd imagine with someone of the stature of Iain, they'd expect it to be expenses paid- so unless there's a huge audience out there for him- or we're in the delightful position of him plugging a movie or something- it all depends on someone else!

WorldCon was in Japan in 2007 so not likely to be back there for a while.

Yeah, there's a publisher called Kurodahan Press (http://www.kurodahan.com/mt/e/), who do English language translations SF and Cthulhu Mythos by Japanese authors.

Probably, as long as the artwork steered away from the usual teenage-looking character fare.
