In Glasgow there were reports of orange lights in the sky on New Year's Day in the early hours.

I've just met a guy I know who was out in the west end. He took pictures and a video, it's weird.

The picture is of a little orange light. Zoomed in it's elongated. Typical UFO picture so to speak.

The video is the best bit because he filmed it when it was relatively dark. It's pretty sharp although it's far away. When he filmed it there's a street light in the corner so as he moves the camera, the street light changes with the camera movement.

The little orange light changes too, only it moves in a different pattern and direction!

I asked him if he heard anything, 'not a sound'.

These are a spectacularly common UFO!

What he saw was a paper lantern like these: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/217824399/sky_lantern_paper_lantern_chinese_lantern_sky_lant ern_lantern.html

Folks set them off on New Years Eve- we had some up here a couple of years ago- before I ruined everyones fun then too..!

Aww, it looks great though. I can always rely on the IB massiff for some solid debunking.

Could the 'foreign material' be an enormous learner driver plate?
