They say £18 for 2 cases, which is 24 500ml bottles. But that's just what thier website says.
Beermerchants are a bit more forthcoming. It all goes by weight. Up to 20kg costs £18, and after that is 69p per kg. So if I order 40 bottles from them it would be roughly £25. Basically I should add 60p per bottle and order loads :)
I have a couple of local suppliers I can rely on, and they do seem to pay attention to requests.

You don't need a special fryer for those chips, Jag-just pour veg. oil into a big pan until it's about 2" deep, then heat on a moderate heat until it's about 350F. A cube of bread will brown in about 30 seconds at that temperature. Then dump in the frozen chips and stir them about a bit, and scoop them out when they're the color you prefer your chips to be.

The opening scenes are well violent, the most violent I've seen.
The game play is pretty ferocious, slashing minions into sliced beef with a multitude of X&Y combos. The bosses are the usual 'dodge and find weak spot' type. The best new thing, is the lunge attack, where you can pick out an enemy from far of and, well, lunge at him and use some shredding moves to decapitate the poor sod.
A good weekends worth of entertainment:).

What, the veg beds? In my experience most cats are actually pretty useless at catching mice. And those that do usually expect you to do the killing. Destroying the plants is much more likely :).

Cracker was brilliant at catching mice, she used to bring us in one practically every night during the summer, usually without a mark on them. Then she'd dump them in living room and they'd hide under the nearest bit of furniture, or in the case of the vole she once caught in the lining of the curtains. :) We had to buy a load of humane traps to catch them and put them back outside.
When I was a teenager though we had a white cat whose mum was a farm cat and if you went within ten feet of her when she'd caught something she'd just give you a look to say "I'll have you and all", so we tended to leave her to it.

Champagne Socialist

The site is absolutely awful.
Need to talk to them about that.
However, as an example, they've just come back from an annual pilgrimage to a trapist monastery in Belgium? Germany? Luxembourg? Somewhere, they monks have made the beer to a recipe perfected five hundred years ago from their own grown hops, barley, oats, yeast cultures, and from the water of the spring that.. springs within the grounds. They make only so much each year, keep enough for themselves and only sell on the excess. Some years there will be several casks, some years nothing. The monks only sell the beer directly from the monastery on a first come first served basis. The beer is exceptional.
Bitter Virtue is the only place that will have it some years. They do it because they love beers, and quality lagers, and stouts, porters, etc. Just for the love of the beer.
edash
09-07-2009, 11:53 PM
Since they don't appear to offer a mail order service they probably reckon they don't need a full site. The Vineyard in Belfast is the same, their website doesn't tell you anything about the beer in stock, but as they don't deliver and the stock changes all the time they reckon there's no point - they've been known to sell out of some beers within hours of taking delivery.

My mom had to get a new phone-a few weeks ago she was upset because her phone had gone through the wash. We got it dried out and it worked for a while. Then it went tits up, and she brought it in to see what was wrong. The service guy saw that it had been submerged and told her she needed to buy a new phone. Her comment to me?
"But it worked for so long! It was fine once it dried out!" I did mention to her that she was dammed lucky that it had worked at all after she laundered it. With some prodding she came to agree. And she found a way to get her new phone for cheap, so all was not lost.
I'm so broke my purchases lately have been on the order of a dozen eggs or a half tank of petrol. I do not recommend being unemployed anywhere with out the dole.
