Is Mr Jelly the new Papa Lazarou?

I think there's a good chance!

I love it- darker than the LoG- which is something I did not think would be possible!
The whole David and his mum thing was just... wrong.

I love it- darker than the LoG- which is something I did not think would be possible! It's great, I love the combination of spookiness and comedy. Loved the reveal of Oscar Lomax's "Holy of Holies".

The whole David and his mum thing was just... wrong.

:D Wasn't it, though? :D

Did anyone watch the next episode on the Red button afterwards too?

I get the feeling 6 episodes won't be enough.

Loved Mr Jelly. Joy was great too

This is almost as good as the The League of Gentlemen, so-far, and leaps n' bounds better than that tragic Krod crap. I liked Mr. Jelly beating the crap out his rival with his stumpy right arm, that completely insane midwife played by Dawn French, and the botched murder attempt leading to a traffic collision. :D

Me too- it's great fun!

Last nights episode was awesome again. This is shaping up to be a classic- even Dawn French is good!

She's so spooky with that toy baby. They're not worried about crossing lines those lads, are they? :D

Loved Lomax's battle with the Witches of eBay.

They crossed any lines back with Gentlemen, why should the bother now ;)

The only thing that grated a bit is that's not how ebay works...

Episode 3 was cracking.
Loved David and Maureen eating breakfast.
Jelly's back story is comming on.
Joy & Freddie Fruitcake are still fantastic.
& that dream sequence start was really reminiscent of the Court seen at the end of the original Prisoner series.

Yes, the unsettling clown court was the best part so-far of this rapidly improving dark comedy series.

Clown Court was one of the most disturbing things I'd seen on TV... until David's mum started to feed him...

Agree about Clown Court - brilliantly surreal and spooky.

:D at the eBay comments.

Apparently almost all of tonights episode was done in one continuous take (though not on the 1st take)

It's based on the Hitchcock film Rope, and centres on David and his mother with none of the others featured.

Only 1 more episode to go :(

Tonights was great again, not as funny as some of the previous, more emphasis on the "dark" side of it all, building up nicely to next weeks final show

It's been so good, looking forward the episode tomorrow. Anyone know if just one series has been planned?

On a related note, was amused to see Reece Shearsmith on You Have Been Watching saying he couldn't bear the C4 animal autopsy programme Inside Nature's Giants. He genuinely looked like it had turned his stomach, after some of The League of Gentlemen stuff that really surprised me!

They were on TV a while back saying it was a stand alone, but they'd like to expand & do more if the demamd was there. I recommend we help them along buy buying the DVD.

What is this "You Have Been Watching" of which you speak?

What is this "You Have Been Watching" of which you speak?

It's on Ch4- can't remember what night though... Charlie Brooker comedy TV quiz thingy. It's different from other TV quiz shows in that it's actually funny and has superb guests- like Reece (who also surprised me in his 'normalness'') and Frankie Boyle.

Loved the last episode, but pretty inconclusive, surely there must be a series 2?
