View Full Version : Gamblers Blues
It's the return of the loser thread.
Today I had 6 teams on to win: Man.City, Leicester, Leeds, Brentford, Dundee Utd and:mad: bloody Cowdenbeath (who drew).
£615.34 could've been mine.

But how much did you loose?

Never rely on Cowdenbeath, that's been my motto for a while now...
Ah, but today I won £150 on Man utd beating Spurs 3-1 and Defoe scoring first. Get in!!:)
And tonight I have lampard to score first and Chelsea to beat Porto 2-0, and P ji-sung (?) to score first and Man utd beat Betistka 1-0.
Got £12 for the Man utd game as Park je sung game on after the goal was scored.
Heartbreak last week as I had a 6 team accumulator on and Norwich =ised against Charlton in the 94th minute:mad:.
Also mid week Carling cup, had all the faves on, and Man City only managed a draw.

Mugs' game, mate.
Got an audacious £2 double on for tomorrow, Birmingham to beat Arsenal at 11-1 and Bolton to beat man utd at 10-1. Well you never know?
Put a pound in the golden track machine and picked dog #4. It came in so I won £6.:)
I probably sound like one of those really irritating little drones in saying this, but I've always thought that gambling (unless you can fix the result) belongs in the same irrational bit of the human mind that also houses belief in religion, psychics, astrology, etc.
Do Minds ever place side-bets on the outcome of one of their convoluted plots?

Gambling is fun, when the odds are in your favour, and you know they will stay that way. Straight-up gambling on something you have no control over is a no-no.
I've got a couple of quid on Mexico each way at 80-1.
And Engerland play the germans (again) in the last 16. Groan!!

It'll be fine as long as England avoid penalties. And stop the Germans scoring at any point. And only if the crowd learn to play 'The Great Escape' on the vuvuzela... :)
Those vuvuzelas are just loud kazzoos. The crowd seem to be getting the hang of them now and are actually in rhythmn rather than just blowing randomly.

You define rhythm very loosely, Jag - some of them honking at the same time is the best they're going to get, I fear...
Drunk White men ain't got no rhythm(no n), whereas the other chaps are all dancing and playing in time.
Still, Rourke's Drift and all that eh?

Ah, so all we need a lot of Welshmen commanded by Michael Caine and job's a good 'un? Oi, Fabio! Get those bleedin' defenders into two lines in front of the goal and fire at will! They don't like it up 'em, Mr Mainwaring, etc., etc...
Engerland...Oh dear! A dreadfully disallowed goal for Lampard. Shocking man, Shocking.
Still, I've got germany to win in the works sweepee.

Don't follow it myself, even World Cup time - silly game - but I work for a German company, and got this from a colleague:

What goes around comes around, as they say.
