Sorry if this sounds like egoboo, but I'm now back in employment! Whoo - hoo, go me!
I just had to vent that - it's been a bit stressful these last four months... :D
Good news indeed!
Well done that man!

Thanks, all. I'm going to be doing some Business Analysis work for an NHS Trust, a bit a pain to get to from where I live, but the 'having a job' bit makes up for that!
Dave - you also have mail! ;)

The next time you're all in Newcastle, the drinks are on me. Yes, I do know that sounds like a challenge... :)

since i cannot find a thread detailing what I'm doing now I'll put this here.
under the happy happy me stuff, the reason I've been offline for a while is...
I've met someone.
She's English, a redhead and very cute as well as being a massive geek.
We met for the first time on the weekend of the 14th may after being freinds online for almost two years and realising we had feelings for each othwer in April.
I'll be seeing her again in 10 days.
I've literally never been this happy. Also since she gave up cigarettes for me I gave up alcohol for her, hence me on the dry.

All the best Bob

Sounds like a good combination, well done.

OOOOOoooooooooooooo big step. Is that gonna be a permanent thing?

I also met my partner online. I don't think I'm overstating the point when I say she completes me. And yeah, it took us a few years before we both figured out- each to our terror it has to be said- how we felt about one another. ANyway- three years down the line now and it's great!
on a related note I marry Beloved tomorrow, wish me luck!
Good luck, man!
Good luck to everybody, I love you all.
Phaze, I've started to give up the booze to, haven't been smashed for 2 days now.

replies to many comments. Hey I've been busy, and it makes a nice game of guess who the reply is for. not me being lazy at all.
red head, nice (assume Patrick from coupling voice).
Giving up beer. Big step. Serious commitment time?
give up booze give up dope replace one with the other, how much difference does it make?
I wouldn't be who I am without my wife. And I know I'm a better man now than I used to be.

i see her again on Friday we're gonna wander around Cambridge.
thanks to the joys of Skype and the 3 network we speak on the phone every night.
I don't really miss booze except a those really high stress times when it can be, frankly a pain in the arse but yay congrats on the marriage mate and yeah she dos complete me.
There was indeed terror in involved but as we said to each other, the agony and the ecstasy of love its all a fun journey.
