To start this thread off.

The honeymoon is booked, five star hotel, all inclusive, fully paid and it's in Mexico.

Bugger.

The UK Foreign Office has upgraded the travel risk to essential travel only. looking on the bright side Beloved wanted Mexico and I've still to get my jags.

Still, argh!

Did you mean jabs? or are you sending jag over first like a canary?

At the moment I'm thinking it's gonna turn out a bit like the avian flu & sars virus from a few years back. Hopefully not becomming a massive pandemic.

Heh, well I suppose I did. We said 'jag' when I was growing up in Clackmannanshire, different I suppose down there 'up north'.

I believe jag is immune to every disease known to humanity so that wouldn't work.

Travel agent has said wait and see.

I believe there is some mighty fine Peyote to be found down that way, but at the mo I would give Mechiko a David Beckham Free kick. My Bro is manager of a Travel agent and is having mares at the present.

A bloke on the news said today in a similar situation, a wedding costing £20,000, that as the WHO and the Govt. have issued formal warnings, then the companies insurance will kick in.

And what, exactly, is wrong with Blackpool?

Seriously CB, that is a bugger. Hope you can get an alternative sorted out.

:D He'd probably kill the flu.

I must admit that's what I'm thinking - well hoping - too. The way it's been covered in the press you'd think we were already living Survivors for real.

I did have a little frisson when a case was reported not 10 miles from where I live.

Saw a photo of a main [8 lane] street in Mexico City with about 5 cars in view, when normally it would be more like 500. So apart from the health aspect it doesn't look like there will be much going on if you do go. So Blackpool it is then :(

Especially since they mostly belong to Coptic Christians in Egypt.
