As is the lock thread function. The original reason for the thread has been answered so rather than have it ramble on....
So why was the TMH thread locked? http://www.iainbanksforum.net/showthread.php?t=142
Yeah the question was answered, but on that basic, many threads could be locked after 2 or 3 posts. Surely locking is when things get badly out of hand, no such thing occured there. This is the "chat" section isn't it:confused:
See, I knew this was gonna happen.

That particular thread had only one definitive answer whereas most of the others have room for further comment and opinion, so dragging them back on topic again at some point.
Of course, rac can always over-rule me and unlock it again :) .

Eh?
Why bother locking topics people are replying to?
Lulz @ you for doing it though.

That's why I'm not a mod, the power would get to me and I would go lockout crazy.

Moderator oppression rears it's ugly head once more! What's it say in Animal Farm? All forumites are equal but some forumites are more equal than others, or something like it.
I'm drunk on the power, me..!

We could start an underground movement via private messaging, but I bet they monitor those too...;)
