The Hundredth Idiot

Hi,
since I've only just registered I thouth it'd be polite to formally introduce myself. I've been reading IMB since Consider first came out in paperback (funnily enough I've never actually read any straight IB, not even The Wasp Factory). For me IMB's sci-fi is of the highest calibre. They're some of the few stories I'll go back and re-read. I'm just coming into the final 3rd of Matter and am rivetted. I actually got a question to be answered by IMB on the last Q&A (I asked about the Minds and why they don't just cut and run), which was possibly my IMB high point(especially since he went to some lengths to answer).
Anyhoo, other than that I live in London and am rapidly approaching 40 years of sentient existence on Earth. I hope we can stir things up and have plenty of interesting Banksian and non-Banksian discussions.

Good afternoon! And welcome to the board!

Hello and welcome, Idiot.
It's not often you get to say that on a forum without seeming unfriendly. :D

Go for "The Bridge" first...

Funny you should say that DB The Bridge was the one that always intrigued me the most from the 'ordinary' IB novels. Maybe I'll read that next then...
Thanks for the welcome everyone.

The evidence will convict you but I appreciate there's point of principle.

Hello 100th. As you can see staying on topic is nigh on impossible here :)
I've not read the Wasp Factory either. Actually the only non M I've read is Crow Road, which I liked loads. Bridge is on my list.

I see a member calling itself Hendo! has joined. I think it's a bit suspect myself, probably a bot written by chinese triads.

Indeed so.
The iron lady was herself reputed to have a pair of testicles and indeed talking bollox is what we're about.
The Inner Thigh appears to have registered alone, perhaps other bits of Margaret's body will register seperately.

Hi,
Love the M books, alongside Ellroy he`s my favourite author. I also like gambling and music.
