I don't watch much TV. But I just caught the 2nd episode of Being Human on BBC3.
Quite impressive. More dark than the "comedy" tag it was given in the TV guide.
Anyone else seen it?
If not I recommend giving it a go...

Well that wouldn't be difficult. ;)
I think I must have seen the same episode as you Deep - the one where the other werewolf came to stay?
Quite interesting - I'll certainly try to remember to watch it again.

I watched the first episode of Demons but thought it was pretty awful and the lad's girlfriend in it was so intensely irritating I kept wishing she would get eaten by something.

Hmm episode 3 wasn't so good. Less ghost & more Vampire/Werewolf stuff needed I think...

Well less the annoying 80's Soft Cell fan boy ghost, but that will be happening, and not a great surprise about how Anne died either really, or that George likes it doggy style.:D

Haven't seen it yet. I will try to catch up some time this week and give you my highly valued opinion. ;)

Caught up with the episode last night.
I agree, numbers, it wasn't a great shock to find out how Anne shuffled off this mortal coil.
I found myself questioning whether a ghost would actually be able to provide a mortal with a casserole, and then realised I'd already accepted that a vampire, werewolf and ghost could live together so the casserole wasn't that much of a stretch.
I'm assuming the stories are supposed to be somewhat allegorical. The vampire thing seems to hint at drug addiction, or am I reading too much into it? :D

Not really, I was reasonable impressed to start with, then saw a less good one, then kinda forgot about it.
How many episodes are left to go?

Not sure, I think there are six in the series, so just a couple more to go.

I'm watching it and liking it. I thought drugs too. You can watch it on BBC iplayer if you miss an episode.
It's been signed up for another series so I've been told. I think it's one of the best series on TV atm, that and Grand Designs

I like Grand designs. Should check out being human, not expecting them to be the same, don't worry.
I've had some odd house mates in my time, but nothing like this.

I watched last night's too. Thought it was pretty good and it did make me want to tune in next week to find out what happens.
Deep - if you can get iPlayer on your TV this is actually on series catch up, or has already been pointed out you can watch it on the old PC.
I also like Grand Designs...is there some kind of pattern forming here? :D

:) Dipped in and out of ER. I was really hooked on it when it started - and had a crush on Carter when everyone else loved Dr Ross. Then I got a bit bored with it but started watching again when Carter got stabbed*, got back into it again and then got annoyed with the characters being in life threatening situations every week.
*Because I wanted to see if he survived. :D
I don't know if I should admit this, but I've recently started watching Casualty again. :o

Front line medical staff in A&E units are probably getting annoyed about that too these days.

Point taken, but with ER it did seem to get to the point of which character would face almost certain death that week, only to be saved at the last minute - except the guy who got mashed when the helicopter fell on him.

Being Human recommission announced – BBC Three hit drama to return for an eight-part series
Yesterday at 23:08
Being Human, the critically acclaimed hit BBC Three drama, chronicling the somewhat complicated lives of a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost living in modern-day Bristol, made by Touchpaper Television, part of the RDF Media Group, has been recommissioned for another eight-part series.
The eagerly awaited current series, which followed a much-loved pilot of the twenty-something drama, concludes this Sunday 1 March.
Starring Russell Tovey (Little Dorrit, Doctor Who, The History Boys) Lenora Crichlow (Sugar Rush, Doctor Who) and Aidan Turner (The Clinic), Being Human attracted a high of over one million viewers and rave reviews.
Being Human has also enjoyed multiplatform success, being the most watched programme on BBC iPlayer for its first two episodes, as well becoming one of the best performing BBC websites.
Danny Cohen, Controller BBC Three, says: "I'm thrilled that we are recommissioning Being Human. It's hugely popular with young viewers and earned great critical acclaim at the same time.
"It's also a very important staging-post in the successful development of home-grown young drama on BBC Three."
Ben Stephenson, Controller BBC Drama Commissioning, added: "I am very excited Being Human is returning for a second series. It's a distinctive modern series that has captured the imagination of the BBC Three audience in terms of strong viewer loyalty and critical acclaim, signalling a real breakthrough for drama on the channel."
Rob Pursey, Executive Producer for Touchpaper Television, says: "'We already have some very exciting, very dark new stories up our sleeves, so we're delighted to have the opportunity to make a second series of Being Human.
"BBC Three has been a brilliant platform for us to mount an unusual and ambitious drama."
Being Human is written by Toby Whithouse (Being Human pilot, Torchwood, Doctor Who), produced by Matthew Bouch (The Sarah Jane Adventures, Being Human pilot), directed by Toby Haynes (M.I. High, Spooks Code 9), Alex Pillai (Wire In The Blood) and Colin Teague (Torchwood, Doctor Who), and executive produced by Rob Pursey, Touchpaper Television (City Of Vice, Sold) and Julie Gardner, Head of Drama for BBC Wales.

Yes, I enjoyed it too, though I have to say the only one I really care about is Mitchell. I find George a bit too drippy and Annie bit too whiny at times. George is interesting though and I though the very subtle snarl that Russell Tovey did as George was talking to Herrick in the cell was very clever. It'll be interesting to see what'll happen with his girlfriend in the next series - will we have a fourth member of the household, maybe even the patter of tiny paws...
